BIZREPLY
An answering service for your website

The call you
missed at 7:40 called someone else at 7:41.

Most people who need a contractor look at night, on a phone, after they've already had a bad day. Your website doesn't say anything back. BizReply answers in your voice, takes the job details, and texts the request to you. You decide what to do with it.

One evening on your website

Visitors after 6:00pm — no answer 4 left

Nobody filled in your contact form. They didn't leave a voicemail either. They went back to the search results, which is where the next roofer is.

Setup

Three steps, and the first two are ours

01 / WE READ YOUR SITE

It learns your business from your business

We read the pages you already published — services, areas, hours, the people on your team. Your assistant answers from that, and only that. It doesn't invent prices and it doesn't make up a warranty.

02 / WE WRITE IT IN YOUR VOICE

It sounds like your shop, not a call centre

Roofers, plumbers, electricians and HVAC shops each get their own set of questions to ask. A roofing lead gets asked about the age of the roof. An HVAC lead gets asked whether it's blowing warm.

03 / YOU PASTE ONE LINE

One line of code, or we do it for you

Paste one line into your site and it's live. If you didn't build the site, forward it to whoever did — there's a page in your account that checks it's working and tells you what's wrong if it isn't.

Plainly

What it does, and what it doesn't

It answers

Every visitor, all night, in seconds. Questions about your services, your areas, your hours, your process — answered from your own pages, with the page it came from.

It takes the details

Name, number, address, and what's actually wrong. The stuff you'd ask on the phone before you'd quote anything.

It texts you the request

An appointment request arrives on your phone with the details attached. You confirm it. It does not put anything on your calendar and it does not commit you to a time. Nothing gets booked without you.

It says "I don't know"

When it doesn't have the answer it says so and asks for a number instead of guessing. Then it tells you what people keep asking, so you can answer it once and it knows from then on.

It doesn't quote

It will never give a price that isn't published on your own site, and it will never promise a timeline. A made-up number is your problem to clean up, so it doesn't make them.

Your trade

It asks what you'd ask

A roofing call and a plumbing call are not the same call. Your assistant is set up for the trade you're actually in, so it asks the questions you'd ask before you'd quote anything.

Roofing

How old is the roof · is it leaking now · shingle, tile or metal · has an insurance claim been opened

Plumbing

Is water running right now · where is the shutoff · one fixture or the whole house · is it backing up

HVAC

Blowing warm or nothing at all · what's the thermostat reading · how old is the unit · anyone in the house at risk in this heat

Electrical

Is a breaker tripping repeatedly · any burning smell · is the panel accessible · is anything sparking

And the rest

Garage doors, landscaping, pest control, remodeling, concrete, fencing, pools. If you're a trade that gets called when something's wrong, it's set up for you.

An emergency gets treated like an emergency. A price shopper gets your details taken.

Week two

Tell it once. It knows from then on

When someone asks it something your website doesn't answer, it says so honestly and takes their number instead of guessing. Then it tells you what people keep asking about.

In your account Questions it couldn't answer
12× Do you offer financing? Asked this month
Do you work on mobile homes? Asked this month

You type the answer once. It knows from the next visitor on.

Twelve people asked about financing and left. That's not a software problem, it's a page missing from your website — and now you know about it.

Honestly

What else you could do about it

Answer it yourself

Free, and you're already doing it. The problem isn't the calls you take, it's the ones that come in at 9pm while you're eating.

A live answering service

Real people, and they're good. They bill by the call or by the minute, so a busy month costs more than a quiet one — and they only catch the people who pick up the phone, not the ones who type a question at 11pm and leave.

A cheap website chat box

Most of them answer from a script somebody has to write and keep updated. Yours answers from the website you already have, and several now bill per conversation answered — which means the bill climbs in exactly the month the phone won't stop.

This

One flat price, answering on your website around the clock, taking the job details and texting them to you. A busy month costs the same as a quiet one. It doesn't replace your phone — it catches what your phone never hears.

Pricing

Flat. It doesn't go up when you get busy

Most services in this category now bill per answered conversation, so the bill climbs in exactly the month the phone won't stop. Ours doesn't move. A busy month costs the same as a quiet one.

Questions

The ones people actually ask

Does it book jobs into my calendar?

No, and that's deliberate. It collects the request — who, where, what's wrong, when they'd like you — and texts it to you. You confirm the time yourself. Nothing goes on your calendar without you saying so.

What happens when it doesn't know something?

It says it doesn't know and asks for a number so you can answer directly. It never guesses at a price, a timeline, or a warranty. Every question it couldn't answer is collected for you, so you can answer it once and it will know from then on.

Will it make up prices?

It can only repeat a price that's published on your own website. If your site doesn't list prices, it won't produce one. It moves the conversation to a quote instead.

I didn't build my website. Can I still install it?

Yes. It's one line of code. Your account has a page that tells you exactly what to send to whoever manages your site, and a check that confirms it's live — and tells you what's wrong if it isn't.

Does the price go up if I get a lot of enquiries?

No. The price is flat. Several services in this category bill per conversation answered, which means the bill rises in your busiest month. Ours doesn't work that way.

How is this different from an answering service?

It's the same job, on your website instead of your phone line, at a fraction of what a live answering service costs — and it doesn't miss the ones who'd never have called in the first place. Plenty of people will type a question at 10pm who won't ring a stranger.
